My jaw actually dropped when I watched this – geeky, but very impressive. From now on the photo always lies!

Wed Magazine Issue11
Just about half way through the 11th issue of Cornwall Wed Magazine. It’s going well this month, with some amazing photos from the likes of Simon Green and Kirstin Prisk. Hopefully will be finished by the end of the weekend, so I can catch up with an ever increasing backlog of work – Sorry!

Coastguard Training
This was shot on saturday on the dunes at Perranporth, It was a training exercise where I was the casualty with a suspected broken ankle. The rest of the team were tasked to search for the casualty and assist with a helivac. – It was the first time I had been in a helicopter and was pretty enjoyable Although I must have been a bit worried as I don’t remember hugging the winch mans leg?

Wed Magazine website re-design
The new Wed Magazine website went live on Friday in time to promote the 1st issue of the ‘Devon Wed’ edition of the magazine.
The original site was built using Mambo (a template based open source CMS – similar to joomla) which was all the initial budget could stretch too. It served its purpose and lasted about a year until it was out grown. The publishers needed more flexibility and control.
I worked with JAB to develope a bespoke database driven site that can be continually be developed as and when the budget is available. It uses various open source scripts to add a subtle flash-like animations here and there. It has been build inline with googles recommendations and is already ranked on the 1st or 2nd page of most of the targeted google searches.

8000th Entry for the xcracer.com online entry system
Yesterday saw the 8000th user of the xcracer.com online entry system (designed by DesignUNLTD). The system allows UK mountain-bikers the quick and easy way to enter races online. The service has been picked up by most of the UK race organisers as a simple cost effective way to boost the entrant numbers.
I took over the maintenance of xcracer back in 2006. All additions including the online entry had to merge into the existing design style – however a complete redesign is imminent.
